Allison Cara Tolman (born April 2nd 1984) is an American actress. She has been nominated Emmys and Golden Globes for her performance in Fargo Season 1 in the role of Molly Solverson. Fargo, a 1996 Coen Brothers film, starred Billy Bob Thornton (as Molly Solverson), Martin Freeman (as Bob Odenkirk) and Bob Odenkirk. Tolman received accolades for her portrayal of Minnesota police officer Molly Solverson, with Vanity Fair writing her that she "calmly and certainly completely stole the film". Critics' Choice Television Award, Best Supporting Actress (Movie/Miniseries) and Golden Globe nominations were presented in recognition of her role. Tolman got an episode of guest-starring as romance novelist Abby Berman on The Mindy Program the same year. She had a role as the support character in Michael Douglas' horror comedy film Krampus. Tolman was turned down for character roles as supporting actors like best friends, wives, and mothers following her breakout role in Fargo. Tolman was seeking for an unusual role. Tolman was a part of ABC's Downward Dog based off the Animal Media Group webseries. The series ended in the middle of a year. Tolman was a part of the ABC drama series Emergence, which began airing on September 24, 2019 it was cancelled following one season in May 21st, 2020, despite getting "pretty decent" ratings, according to Tolman in her Twitter account.
